The smalltooth sawfish (Pristis pectina) is a member of the elasmobranch family which includes sharks and rays. They use their saw-like snout to capture prey such as fish and crustacean. It is believed they can grow up to 24 feet in length. Because of fishing pressure and loss of habitat, the smalltooth sawfish is listed as critically endangered. Learn more about sawfish.
