One of the most powerful emotions I experience while being in the company of wild Atlantic spotted dolphins comes from observing the way they caress each other. Physical touch plays an important role in the bond they form with other dolphins — such as this adult and two children. This seemingly simple act has the power to show that these sentient beings have the power to feel emotions.
