Over-protective momma manatee

Some momma manatees can be quite over-protective! Maybe not to the point of bearing her molars (they have no fangs) like this one — actually she was just yawning. But considering they have a 12 month gestation period and the baby manatee can weigh up to 66lbs. when born, it makes perfect sense if she was a bit over-protective, right?
