Capturing a flying fish in motion in a still photograph entails some imagination, sorcery, and practice. Like a paint brush on a canvas, the proper swoosh of a fifteen pound mini sub (aka underwater camera) can turn a simple photograph into a bit of art. There’s nothing quite as gratifying as producing this work in the camera. It’s especially gratifying when someone asks if I did it in Photoshop.
