The snaketooth swallower are deep water fish known to eat prey twice as big and ten times their own mass. They are able to do this by greatly extending their stomach. An adult snaketooth swallower has never been filmed alive. This rare photograph is of one in its larval stage I encountered during my night dives. Learn more about the swallower fish.
