The goliath grouper is the largest member of the sea bass family in the western Atlantic ocean reaching lengths of up to 8.2ft. and weighing as much as 800 lbs. Large aggregations of goliath groupers concentrate around Palm Beach County in Florida for the annual spawning during the late summer months.
