Baby sea turtles rely on a remarkable combination of factors to synchronize their departure from the nest, including temperature regulation, vibrations, piping sounds, social facilitation, circadian rhythms, moisture and humidity changes, and hormonal cues. As they emerge together, usually at night, these tiny creatures overwhelm predators and begin their journey to the ocean.
