The Sargassum frogfish or anglerfish are typically found floating in Sargassum seaweed that drifts throughout the ocean. With its weed-like appendages it blends in very well with its environment where it lies waiting for any potential prey to approach. To help attract prey in closer it will even employ a specialized fin above its eyes as a form of fishing lure. Learn more about the Sargassum frogfish / anglerfish.
